CSB-LMS® Linear Drive System
Product Features
The CSB-LMS® linear drive system is designed with a maintenance-free sliding structure. All sliding units are made of wear-resistant CSB-EPB® material, and all shafts or guides are made of case-hardened aluminum alloy or Made of stainless steel. Reasonable materials and structural design make the CSB-LMS® linear drive system permanent maintenance-free, resistant to dust, corrosion and low noise.
Linear drive systems-design rules

Floating bearings in linear drive systems In linear motion systems where two shafts or guide rails are used in parallel, we recommend installing a floating linear bearing on one side. Whether it is installed horizontally, vertically or laterally, the rational structure of this fixed bearing plus floating bearing is suitable for every direction. This installation method can avoid the stuck phenomenon caused by the parallelism deviation of the two shafts or guide rails. This is achieved by a floating bearing moving a certain range of directions that may produce parallelism deviations.
When installing, you must ensure that the floating bearings have similar angles in the same two directions. The contact surface between the shaft or rail and the bearing must be sufficiently flat to avoid stress concentration. Small areas where installation is not smooth can be automatically adjusted by floating bearings.


Linear drive system-eccentric force

● The maximum ratio is 2: 1
● 1X = Coaxial bearing separation ● 2X = Distance from shaft to load or driving force

● Caution: When the ratio exceeds 2: 1, crawling or even jamming may occur!

This principle has nothing to do with load! This is not due to edge loading. It also does not depend on the driving force used! The greater the distance between the driving force and the bearing, the greater the required driving force and the greater the wear.
There may be other factors that increase the braking effect, but the coefficient of friction is the main reason.
Note: The 2: 1 rule is based on a theoretical static friction coefficient of 0.25. However, additional lubrication helps reduce friction and prolongs the 2: 1 ratio.
